The Altavista Journal will host a forum for Altavista Town Council candidates Thursday, October 23, at Altavista Elementary School, starting at 6:30 p.m.

Five candidates - Charles Edwards, Tim George, Tim Thacker, Joseph Emerson and write-in candidate Micki Brumfield - are running for the three council seats in the November 4 election.  All five are expected to participate in the forum.
